Colorado.”

Airport Collections

Taylor and Jamie are collecting everyone’s travel
details. Our goal is to make your travel experience go as smooth as possible. We will do everything we can to coordinate your transition from the airport to Colorado Springs. Obviously, this may not happen but some of the overseas competitors have offered to share cars or taxis from Denver airport, and we
will try and link this all up.

Hotels

We have sent out a map with details of Cheyenne Mountain Resort. They have allocated specific areas for parking for the competing cars, and an area where towing trucks and trailers can be stored for the duration of the event. If youdid not get the parking map details, please let us know and we will send you a copy. The check in process will begin at 15.00, welcome at 18.00, and dinner/camaraderie will begin at 19.00.

The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs finished the
renovation and addition! The 50 diGerent hot springs with varied mineral properties will take you on a journey round the world. If you want to book a massage or special spa treatment, please check out
their website and reserve ahead of time. We urge you not to forget your swimming attire and to check out their website video. They do have the deepest hot springs in the entire world. It is quite
extraordinary. When we get to Palisade, we have lined up an evening of entertainment including a
visit to one of the many vineyards for wine tasting and live music, one or two of the vineyards may be
competitive, and one is to relax you after what will
certainly be a day of endurance! Winter Park is the most remote hotel on the route; there are many restaurants and bars, but entertainment will be ‘in house’ here. If you arrive early, walking the town of this world—class ski town or going on a quick hike to see some of the fall Aspen trees is always a gorgeous sight.

Lunch

All lunch venues are unique! We’ll expose you to some Colorado local mountain breweries in the nation. We have adventurous Mediterranean fare and even a pig roast! Your taste buds will be satisfied throughout this epic journey.

We were saddened to read about the devastating fire that destroyed our second day lunch venue; our thoughts go out to the Lone Cone in Norwood as they rebuild their restaurant. Taylor and Judy went out to Norwood and with the help of the city, a new restaurant has  been found within the horse community near the local horse track.

Rallying and Health

We at Pioneer would like to remind everyone of the high altitude of this event; we don’t want to teach people to suck eggs, but please be aware of the effects of dehydration at such heights. Talk to your
doctors and be sure to bring all necessary medications with you! Also, the eGect of
alcohol is a little different at high altitude compared to at sea level. This is great for your wallets, not so great for the headaches! Please carry plenty of water and snacks with you (and maybe some lip balm!) It goes without saying that any medicines you may need to be carrying should always be
accessible.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

August 19th, 2025

PIONEER RALLY ANNOUNCES CONTROVERSIAL DRIVER
SWAP AHEAD OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN VINTAGE 2025

Colorado, USA — In a move sure to shock at least three people and mildly inconvenience one, Pioneer Rally Company confirms that Jamie Turner will not be appearing at the inaugural Rocky Mountain Vintage 2025.

The reason? “Visa delays,” says Jamie, though insiders suspect the U.S. government simply Googled his driving record.
Despite his absence, the event will proceed as planned, thanks to months of meticulous preparation by the Pioneer Rally team — none of which, according to them, required Jamie to actually be present.

Replacing Jamie will be his brother Owen Turner, who sources describe as “like Jamie, but more punctual and slightly better at parallel parking.”

Owen will take over all ceremonial duties, including handing out awards, delivering motivational speeches, and pretending to know where the route goes.

Jamie, speaking from an undisclosed location surrounded by empty tea mugs, stated: “I’m devastated not to be there. Please take good care of Owen. He’s never been this far from home, and he frightens easily.”

Pioneer Rally assures all participants that Rocky Mountain Vintage 2025 will be every bit as thrilling, challenging, and unforgettable as promised — perhaps even more so without Jamie’s constant “helpful” suggestions.

For more information, contact Pioneer Rally Company. For the very few that haven’t met Owen he’ll be the one looking slightly confused but smiling anyway.

About Owen Turner

Owen is one of those anomalies that is equally as happy behind a marshalling clipboard, standing at the podium, under the hood of a rally car and behind the wheel driving his plethora of rally cars through the woods inevitably towards the event win! Owen is one of the most successful Road Rallier, Enduro driver and Targa driver in the UK currently and has been for way too many years. Owen alongside his partner Rachel have competed on most continents – driving the back roads from the northern parts of Europe down to the southern tip of Africa and through the vast wastelands of Australia. Owen has very kindly offered his support for this event due to the difficulties Jamie has faced getting back to the US, and although this isn’t a permanent position, we at Pioneer are excited to have him on the Colorado roads. We are confident that both the competitors and the team are in good hands as Owen is one of the most competent and knowledgeable people within the realm of rallying and is also unrecognized as the creator of the famous ‘European cup’ on the world-famous Peking to Paris rally.
