James and Taylor’s story began in 2019 when they met through a mutual friend who loved hosting gatherings. They quickly bonded over wide-ranging conversations, sparking a friendship that grew stronger over the years. As they discussed their futures, the idea of a partnership took shape, fueled by their shared passions for motorsports and travel. At Taylor’s retirement celebration, they found the perfect moment to bring their visions together. With James’s years of experience organizing and competing in rallies worldwide, he knew what could be improved and saw a unique opportunity to bring European-style rally endurance events to the U.S. Taylor focused on finding a charitable cause that reflected their love for the outdoors and commitment to mental health advocacy. And with that, the Pioneer Rally Company was hatched.

Taylor is a recently retired school psychologist with decades of work in the public schools of Colorado. He has a passion for adventure, travel, and mental health. Organizing rallies seems to be a perfect fit. His experiences backpacking with his daughter have only increased his love of nature and the outdoors. His two boys love high-end performance cars and always have a new ‘dream car’ in mind. He is excited to present events that are carbon conscious, provide funding to mental health organizations, and are a heck of a lot of fun to car enthusiasts all over the world.

As a recently retired educator for over thirty years, mostly teaching middle school students or serving as a building administrator,  Judy is excited to experience adventure across the world while utilizing her passions for traveling, planning events, and experiencing unique cars. Growing up in a family who love cars, Judy spent many weekends at car shows or cruisin’ the mountains in one of her father's fancy cars. Being a part of the rally family will allow Judy to coordinate large events, communicate with hotel and restaurant management, see beautiful places, and be a part of the unique car culture.
